COVID certainly continued its impact on the shows in 2021 – unfortunately the risks were too great to have gatherings until the summer, so Huntu never had the opportunity to enter any shows as a puppy, starting her career at Southern Counties in the Junior class. She certainly started well and has had a great second half of the year, winning ALL her junior classes entered plus 4 res CCs and 2 CCs.
Shows of note:
- Bath Ch show Huntu won her first CC and BOB,
- East of England saw Elbereth Lumenlumo JW make breed history – the first ever cream Champion and supported by Huntu in the Res CC spot.
- Huntu won her Junior warrant in 4 months
- At SKC, Halla returned to the ring and won the CC, with Huntu again the bridesmaid – with the gorgeous Poika taking BOB
- At Border Union Halla and Huntu repeated the mother and daughter double
- Finally at LKA with one of the best entries of the year, Ukas won BOB and Huntu was not phased by moving up to the big girls classes, at just 18 months of age in limit winning her second CC
You could almost subtitle this item a family affair – Poika is Ukas’s son, and Lumo & Huntu are Hallas’s daughters from her two different litters. Of course all bar Uka are Matka’s offspring (Halla his daughter, the other three his grandpups)
