Viima actually came to my attention through his parents, I had admired his sire, but as a PRA carrier he would not suit Halla, and then I looked at his dam, who competed against Matka back in 2014 i Finland and looked at one of her brothers. So when I realised Tuisku & Vuokko had had a litter and they were understandably very nice I started to look at possibilities, and was delighted when owner Leila Hämäläinen and breeder Petra Palukka gave their blessing to the idea and loaned Viima to Sam Moore and I in UK. Little did any of us know at the time how COVID19 was to play a significant part in his trip – and that he would be held hostage by the disease and have to extend his stay.
He has super health results and a delightful character – settling in well with Sam, and enjoying time with us, he has now returned home to Leila, but I have collected semen, so hopefully we will see more pups by Viima in the future.
